Grød

«Has anyone seen my sock? … And is there any more rice porridge?»

Loves food and is a bit clumsy. Spends all of December looking for his sock — and finds it in the end in a most unexpected place.

What one day looks like

1 December with Grød

From the evening before to your child's reply. Shown here with Ida and her Bamse as an example — yours will have your child's name.

19:00
The evening before · just for youLeave a little sock by the door with a sheet of baking paper next to it: sprinkle on a little flour and press little footprints into it with a fingertip.

Grød is looking for his sock all through December. Tomorrow he thinks he's found it.

The plan arrives by email at 19 and in the grown-ups' area behind your code. With the print pack, also as a separate grown-up sheet — never in your child's letter.

In the morning

Ida knocks on the little door in the app. The door opens, Grød peeks out and hands over an envelope.

Today's letter · read aloud by Grød
Hello Ida! My name is Grød — like risengrød, the rice porridge I love best! I was supposed to move in yesterday, but I fell asleep in a basket of pebernødder. And now I can't find one of my socks. Have you seen it? Look by the door: there's a sock, and next to it some little floury footprints. Could it be mine? I promise to live here all through December. If I don't get lost … Your slightly messy nisse, Grød

Tomorrow

Good morning Ida! I couldn't sleep last night. Neither could the toothbrushes. So I pulled a warm sock over their cup like a nisse hat … And then I noticed something: the sock by the door wasn't mine at all! My sock is red with a little white star on the heel, and it smells a bit of porridge. The one by the door smelled of … feet. Hee hee. Sorry, sock. The toothbrushes are sleeping soundly now, and tonight I'll keep looking. Maybe in the kitchen? There's porridge in the kitchen, after all. Your sleepy nisse, Grød
